Cash-Only Budget

A cash only budget forces us to watch the money leave our hands.

Even when the budget is set - sometimes we spend more than we mean too.

And it’s not hard to do when it’s just a swipe away.

A cash only budget may seem pretty inconvenient - especially when we’ve become accustomed to swiping or tapping to purchase whatever we need, or want - but that’s the point.

This forces you to watch the money leave your hands every time you make a purchase.

It can help you figure out where your spending weak points are (i.e. where you always spend over your budget).

Our habits shape our future. If a cash only budget can help get you out of the habit of overspending on a card, it can definitely be worth the short term inconvenience for the long term benefit.
